Warmer Days

What?? No winter jacket? I believe these photos were taken couple weeks ago on a rare day where the temperature hit a whopping 11 degrees C.  It's almost April and it was still snowing last night/this morning. I'm also sick of waking up every morning and getting emails from different clothing stores featuring the latest bikinis. It's such a slap in the face.  Seriously... WTF Canada?

Hope you're all enjoying your week! Happy Humpday :)

Toronto Fashion Week: Day 2 Mercedez Benz Startup, Melissa Nepton, David Dixon

Another fashionable late post. I don't know what to tell you guys. I did manage to fall deathly ill shortly after the Bustle after party. Maybe it was the combination of the -10000 degrees C weather (thanks Canada!), and running from show to show in somewhat fashionable clothing that don't make you look pregnant.

Enjoy the photos and hope you guys had a lovely weekend!

Toronto Fashion Week: Day 1 Beaufille, Line Knitwear, Sid Neigum

It's Fashion Week again! I totally meant to upload these photos after Day 1 but found myself out all night having bright green alcoholic beverages that will surely be the cause of my stomach cancer one day.  And what excuse do I have for yesterday? I worked as a slutty popcorn attendant, attended more shows, and watched a late night showing of the Grand Budapest Hotel which I highly recommend. It was super quirky, charming and hilarious!

Anyways, I've picked a few of my favourite looks from each designer. Enjoy!

New Beginnings

Believe it or not, this is my first outfit post since last November and the first one of 2014! It's been hard finding a photographer who is willing to be just as dedicated as I am towards this blog. I can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that my old friend Tim Bettridge is now my official photographer! There will definitely be a change in style of photography because Tim is a hipster and likes to shoot using film.  The images take time to develop and are scanned into the computer.

However, I'm excited for what's to come and we're determined to make this a weekly thing! Also, HUGE thanks for the readers who have stuck by me all these years and still continue to comment even though I had pretty much dropped off the face of the earth.

Sochi 2014- Team Canada Nails

Another winter Olympic has come to an end! Feels like only yesterday when it was being held in Vancouver. I wish I posted these earlier in case if anyone else wanted to try them but my life has been running a bit behind schedule. Oh well, guess whoever reads this can try it out...TWO YEARS LATER. Or you can just change the one look with the Olympic rings and use this idea for Canada Day!

Red Polish- Essie- She's Pampered
Blue Polish- Essie-Butler Please

I found that painting on the maple leaf was the hardest. It just usually ends up looking like a marijuana leaf. I ended up drawing it in lightly with a ball point pen, then outlining and filling it in with a fine paint brush. To remove the pen marks, just gently rub an eraser on it!

Ah! The Canadian flag with a heart in the middle because nobody can paint a maple leaf on with their left hand no matter how good their dexterity skills are (unless you're left handed). Whatever, a heart is cuter anyways. I used scotch tape to divide the red and white in half and then used it to create a V for the bottom of the heart to create a cleaner edge.

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!
