People: Japan Edition

This was originally going to be a post consisting of just street style shots.  I renamed the title to just People because I realized I didn't just take photos of people wearing interesting clothes, but people with a positive and bubbly aura. When I go through these photos I don't look at them from a fashion standpoint at all. Instead I remember their modest laugh when I told them I liked their clothes, the genuine love I felt between friends, and the hours of conversation I had with them (special thanks to Google translate for making that happen).

I'm super thankful for the wonderful people I met during this trip! xoxo

Kats of Korea

I'm finally back in Canada and in my hometown Richmond after traveling for a month! I took so many photos while on the road but once I got home, the first batch of photos I got right to editing were the cat photos. Korea had an abundance of wandering cats, many of them can be found in Gamcheon Village in Busan, or just roaming around outside of temples and parks. Stay tuned for my next post where I post a travel guide on finding the cutest cats in Korea (I haven't decided if I'm being sarcastic yet).

Hope ya'll enjoy these cat photos!

LAST POST

I have some super exciting news! A couple weeks ago I decided to go on an impromptu trip. Mainly due to how slow work was. So in 10 hours I'll be hoping onto a plane to go to Japan where I'll be meeting my parents.  I'll be spending a little of two weeks in Japan hitting up Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Tokyo, Hakone, Asakusa, Nikko, and Yamanshi. Then I'll be traveling to Korea by myself for 13 days stopping by Busan, Jeju, and Seoul.  I'm really nervous but excited as I'll be traveling in a foreign country by myself for the first time! Finally, I'll be arriving back in Vancouver mid December just in time for the holidays.

I'm off to do some speed packing... but I can't wait to share my experience with all of you when I get back! (Yes, I'm leaving the baby aka macbook pro behind) It's going to be a computer free trip!

Dreams

Two weekends ago I went down to New York to visit the BFF who is currently doing her masters at Parsons. It's been a struggle keeping each other posted with every miniscule detail in our lives as I've been super busy with work and she has been busy with school. However, we picked it up where we last left it.  It was literally 4 days of just shits and giggles.

I love that feeling you get when you haven't seen someone for a long time, but it feels like no time has passed.

Hope ya'll have a lovely weekend!

Word Mastercard Fashion Week Day 3 + Behind the Scenes

The last day of fashion week for me was bitter sweet as it was cut short by my trip to New York (stay tuned for pictures!) I've met so many lovely people and have learned a lot about the fashion industry and photography from attending these shows!

The two shows I attended were Matthew Gallagher and Mackage. I loved all the flowy garments and the color palette that was used for the collection. There was also this white gorgeous jumpsuit with beautiful draping on the sides (see below). Mackage had some amazing edgy yet feminine pieces in their collection. I absolutely adored the high waisted shorts with the sheer skirt on top. Oh! And my dear friend Sabina from IVillage did an interview with Elisa and Eran from Mackage which I had the pleasure of sitting in on. You can check it out here!
