Baby #2 on The L.A Complex

Last summer I created baby #1. Like any good mother I pimped her out to Degrassi.  Baby #2 came shortly after but I've kept it in hiding just like Blue Ivy Carter. (Seriously does that baby even exist?) This time around, I've pimped it out to The L.A Complex which airs Tuesdays on Much Music and The CW.  It is only fitting that Baby #2 is worn by a stripper played by the lovely Chelan Simmons who's such a talented dancer!

Nothing like Ted Mosby photobombing through the television.

Whatever, I'm Late Anyways

These pictures were taken at the bff's place. I absolutely love her clock which says, 'whatever, I'm late anyways' which I think is the cutest thing ever. We did a couple of shots without the clock which resulted in an incident around 3pm on Sunday January 22nd. During the process of removal, it was involved in a three way crash with the couch and the floor. They were not hurt but unfortunately the clock did not make it. This calls for another eulogy, but it will have to wait as I have piles of assignments to finish. RIP

Ostrich by Kawamura Ganjavian

The ostrich a pocket pillow "offers a micro environment in which to take a warm and comfortable power nap at ease. It is neither a pillow nor a cushion, nor a bed, nor a garment, but a bit of each at the same time. Its soothing cave-like interior shelters and isolates our head and hands (mind, senses and body) for a few minutes, without needing to leave our desk."

I'm not sure how comfortable shoving your head into 'cave-like interior' would be, but claustrophobia comes to mind. I would definitely consider buying this if the material blended in with a desk. My professors won't even know I'm there...

Lazy Sundays

Today is one of those really pretty but cold as hell days. So cold that I have to bring out the marshmallow (my puffy white down feather jacket). It's not the most flattering jacket on me but definitely does the job. I swear I hear this song in my head every time I reach for it.

DIY: The Mohawk

I don't ever wear black nail polish. EVER. There's just something about black nails that I don't like. Maybe it's because black nails reminds me of the rockerwannabe elementary school days. I shudder at that thought. The Mohawk is the only exception I will make.

Gosh Matte Effect Top Coat // Gosh- Nero // Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

2 coats of Nero
I cut a strip of scotch tape and centered it in the middle
1 layer of matte top coat

Finished it off by using seche vite top coat only in the middle.

Have a good weekend!
And just for shits and giggles..

Golden Globes 2012: Quickie

Love

Sophia in a custom Vera Wang gown. Nothing like a mermaid style gown to accentuate her already very blessed assets.

Shailene Woodley in a Marchesa gown. Amazing fabric that drapes so effortlessly on her.

No Love

Amanda Peet in Marc Jacobs. She looks like a frumpy lace cake...Even the photographer in the back is judging her.

The Cat Lady Inside Me

Jason Wu's full line for Target is finally available for drooling.  Another collaboration well done! Wu does an exceptional job creating a new collection without losing his design aesthetic and continues to create clothing that is timeless and modern.

By the looks of the images and price points of each piece, I'm predicting lineups and mayhem on the release date. Like most awesome things in the fashion world they are not accessible to Canadians. Sure, I'll shed a few tears but I'll get over it and continue on my daily activities such as being a lumberjack and eating poutine.

Would you buy any of these pieces? If so which pieces?

Line Work

It feels surprisingly good to be back in my secondary home, especially when I get a lot more sun here than Raincouver. The sun was going down and all the high rises were blocking the light, so the BFF went all MacGyver and decided to go to the top floor of a parkade. It was a brilliant idea until I realized I had to climb 6 flights of stairs. The sad part is, the first thing that came to my mind about being unfit was not correlated with being unhealthy, but how much I would suck at the Amazing Race.
