Melted Mint

I've been a fan of this pale mint green for the past 3-4 years (ever since Mint Candy Apple by Essie came out). That's why when stores started making everything in this color for spring summer, I had no complaints.  It's one of the few colors that compliment my skin tone. I avoid orange, and yellow as it clashes with my yellow undertones, and coral/reds as it brings out my blemishes. This mint green is perfect when you want to bring out that non-existent tan that you have been nursing all winter.

After wearing this top once, I decided to wash and iron it. Like the well educated detail oriented fashion student I am, I accidentally set my iron too high and melted a huge hole in it. I was so devastated that I went back the next day to purchase another one but they were sold out in my size. I settled for a larger size. I think I'm just thankful that this was a $20 top and not more.

  1. i get majoring ironing anxiety because of fear of things like this. glad you were able to replace the top. it's gorgeous. same goes for the necklace!

  2. oh no with the shirt. I love the color.

  3. thats why I never iron my shirts lol, well, the real reason being that I'm lazy and all. glad you manage to get another one though!

  4. Love that necklace and shirt! It is really a shame about the hole :(

  5. Great necklace!!

Here's a trick for anyone without a steamer (bring your outfit into the bathroom while your taking a shower)..

Love that you were ahead of the crowd on the mint green trend!!

  6. HAHA Oh my god, I did this to my last project, I had just finished making it and managed to burn a hole - so I burnt a few more to pretend it was 'made that way' hahahaha!

At least you could find another - bigger is always better than smaller! :)

Jealous of your hair too, gorgeous girly.

  7. Ahhw that top! But you're right, the colour does compliment your skin tone.
    Love your coat!
