E.T

These nails were really just an experiment that I thought turned out quite well. I don't really know why I was inspired to do this as I try to stay away from glitter because it's always a bitch to get off. Maybe I was channeling my inner Kesha... who knows.  The 3Djelly finish and glitter result reminded me of NfuOH flakes. I used Mesmerize by Essie as a base color, 3 layers of Last Friday Night by OPI, and topped it off with the usual Seche Vite Top Coat.

*I apologize for all the crappy pictures. I swear when I was taking them my camera it was like "TOO SHINY. CONFUSED. WHERE TO LOOK. WTF"

Can't Imagine a World Without You.

Lip balm is the one thing I absolutely cannot live without, even for a day.  Usually there are about 6-7 lip balms lying around my room, including Smith's Roseberry Salve, Softlips, Blistex, Polysporin (great for winter), MAC lip conditioner etc. But the one I keep going back to is the EOS lip balm.  It's in the shape of an egg which great if you are one of those people who just loses everything.  It makes my lips super smooth and moisturized for hours without having to reapply. Plus, it's 100% natural, and 95% organic, can't get no better than that!

The only place that I'm aware of that sells EOS lip balm in Canada is RW&CO for about $8-$10. So when I visited NYC a couple weekends ago and saw that they were only $4.99 at Walgreens, I went absolutely ballistic.

What's the one thing you can't live without?

Concrete Jungle Where Dreams are Made

One of the things I love about New York is how each part of the city feels so different. Each area feels like I'm entering a whole other world. I was lucky enough to visit the city again last weekend as I was asked to help out with the Jeremy Laing show during New York Fashion Week. Here are just a couple of pictures from that weekend.

 Best place on earth.

This pigeon should get a guest role in Pirate of the Caribbean for losing a foot. what a trooper

Personally I would never eat at a place called dimsum sushi palace. Sounds like all sorts of danger.

Montreal: Jean Paul Gaultier

A couple of weeks ago I was in Montreal. I visited the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition at The Montreal Museum of Fine arts.  The museum opened at 11 but there was a line up going on by 10:30 AM. It's amazing to see that not only fashion enthusiasts were present but folks who didn't appear to have that much background in fashion were there as well.

I was blown away by the magnitude of this exhibition. The props, lighting, sound, and creativity of the whole show was amazing. Most of the mannequins had a projector shining on their faces allowing them to have different expressions. Let me tell you, it was the weirdest thing to have a mannequin sing to me.

Gaultier's childhood obsession with cone bras. How ballin is that?

One of the few outfits that I would wear out on a daily basis. How awesome is that jacket??

Any one else thinking Jeffrey Campbell tick wedges?
